Please note that some tours may have differing deposit and cancellation policies than those shown below depending on the destination. Specific Terms and Conditions for all trips are sent with the Registration Form for your review before making a booking.

All Tour Prices: Tour Price does not include the international airfare from the departure city except where specifically noted.
Tour Price, except where noted, does include all necessary air, land, and boat transportation during the tour, accommodations based on two persons sharing a room, all meals, services of experienced naturalist/guides , baggage handling for one bag, pre-trip notes, all entrance fees to parks, refuges, and museums, hotel taxes and services charges. The Tour Price does not include transportation to, or baggage handling at the departure city, items of a personal nature, or items over and above those reflected herein, such as drinks, wines and liquors, excess baggage charges, laundry, room service, snacks or telephone. Also not included is the gratuity for the local drivers or guides which is left to the voluntary discretion of the tour participants. All tour prices are based on tariffs in effect at the time of their printing and are subject to change. Tour departures are based on a minimum number of participants and may be cancelled if such minimums are not reached.

Tour Deposits and Payments: The deposit amount per person, depending on the tour or booking involved, is due with your reservation form in order to confirm a place on the tour. Full payment for the tour is due sixty (60) days prior to the departure of the tour.

• Cancellation made up to 60 days prior to departure: Refund of the deposit less a $100 handling charge per person.
• Cancellation made 60 to 30 days prior to departure: A charge of 30% of the tour price per person with the refund being made up of the recoverable balance. Depending on the tour, this may be as little as 30% or less of the tour price.
• Cancellation within 30 days of departure: No refund allowed.

TRIP CANCELLATION INSURANCE IS AVAILABLE FROM CALIGO VENTURES AND IS HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

Smoking: Smoking is not allowed in any vehicle or when the group is in close quarters such as at meetings and group meals.

Participant Responsibility: Though these trips are not strenuous, participants should be in good health and able to handle several hours of walking per day and adjusting to differences in altitude, time changes and other factors relating to a tour.

RESPONSIBILITY: Caligo Ventures acts only as agent in obtaining transportation, including any and all forms utilized in the conduct of the tour, and other tour services. Air Carriers are not to be held responsible for any act, omission, or event during the time passengers are not aboard their aircraft. The tickets and coupons in use by such airline, when issued, shall constitute the sole contract between the airline and the tour member or purchase of these tickets. The carriers, Caligo Ventures and their employees and agents shall not be liable or directly, or indirectly held responsible for any injury or death expense, damage, delay, irregularity or other loss, whether in person or property (including with no limitation those resulting from the negligence of the carriers, Caligo Ventures and its affiliated companies, incurred or arising during the period of a tour or in connection with the rendering of any form of transportation or other services furnished with respect to a tour, or the failure to render such services), or in any way related to a tour. Caligo Ventures accepts no responsibility or assume liability for any loss, damage, accident, delay, or other irregularity caused by any reason including defect in any vehicle, or through the acts, defaults or bankruptcies of any company or person engaged in conveying the participant or providing transportation to the passenger or in the carrying out of the arrangements of the tour, or for any losses or additional expenses due to delay or changes in air schedules or other services, overbooking or sickness, weather, strikes, war, quarantine, civil disturbance or other causes. All such losses or expenses will have to be borne by the participant . Baggage, cameras, and other personal belongings are at the owner's risk throughout the tour. Tour participants recognize and accept the fact that the tour is conducted in natural areas where dangerous and venomous wild animals might be encountered over which the agent or its operators have no control or responsibility. Caligo Ventures reserves the right to alter itinerary, eliminate arrangements, or provide similar categories of substitution at no penalty; to cancel the tour prior to departure, with a full refund constituting full settlement to the participant. No refund will be made for any unused portion of the tour or for "no shows." Caligo Ventures reserves the right to refuse to accept or retain any person as a member of the tour, at any time. In this case, there will be refunded the full deposit or the amount limited to the unused portion of the tour, as the case may be. The signing of the reservation form and/or the acceptance of tour membership and/or of such coupons, exchange orders, receipts, contracts and tickets by the tour member shall be deemed to be consent to all conditions and provisos in this document. NOTE: All field trips and transportation described in the itineraries are conducted by independent operators. On those trips involving boats and vehicles, please be advised that such conveyances may not meet safety standards consistent with those in effect in the United States.
